Kvasir and Duro Felguera have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate on the construction of a biofuel plant in Spain.
Duro Felguera is a globally recognized EPC with more than 20 years of experience in building power plants and other large infrastructure projects, it’s listed on the stock exchange in Madrid and employs more than 1100 employees.
Kvasir has developed a one step process to convert lignocellulose into a marine biofuel which can be used as a direct replacement for fossil fuel oil.
Building on Kvasir’s technology and Duro Felgueras EPC experience the parties will build a biomass-to-liquid plant in the northern Spanish region of Asturias that will process agricultural residues into marine biofuel.
